Many parents think the school district covers the costs of school celebrations and special events. However, the PTA sponsors many of the programs and activities for our students that include assemblies, carnivals, holiday celebrations, classroom parties, McMurray Day, and so much more! These events are possible through your generous contributions.
The suggested donation is $25 per student to cover the costs for these events.
*In order to volunteer during PTA sponsored activities you must be a McMurray PTA member and have your clearances up to date and on file with the district.

A Letter from McMurray Elementary Principals
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year at McMurray Elementary! The McMurray Team is eager to meet your children. We have been busy this summer continuing to upgrade our facility and learning resources at
McMurray and have a great deal to be excited about.
Our McMurray's PTA continues to offer tremendous support to our students, teachers, and school. The PTA is led by President, Mrs. Elizabeth Rush, and a committed group of board members and volunteers that work to provide significant support, interesting programs, and fun events for our students and staff throughout the year. Please be sure to volunteer your help to support these efforts. We truly appreciate the partnership that we have with them.
McMurray has a passionate team of faculty and staff in place for the 2025-2026 school year. We are delighted to welcome Mrs. Tovornik and Ms. Penix to our 5th grade team, Mrs. Karwoski to our Music Department, and Mrs. Thomas to our main office staff. In addition, filling in for the year in enrichment and Spanish are Mrs. Burnett and Ms. Manzari, respectively.
We consider ourselves immensely fortunate to have such a dedicated and talented team of faculty, staff, and families working together to create challenging, fun, and interesting experiences for our students.
